ABOUT US
DriftEnsemble performs new and contemporary improvised and notated chamber music with passion and exploratory spirit. Mixing acoustic with live-electronics, Drift’s unusual instrumentation (violin, recorders, percussion, and live-electronics) and the mixture of composers and performers within the group, forms a dynamic collective that creates their own idiosyncratic compositions and initiates bold collaborations. Drift’s recent performances include HCMF (Huddersfield), The Noise Upstairs (Manchester), The University of Hull, and partnerships with Huddersfield’s CeReNeM and Making Space.
